I wonder how much he learned from bruce lee when they worked together on enter the dragon. He kind of has some of bruce’s mannerisms and even uses the patented side kick.
To my knowledge, he was involved in karate sometime before Enter the Dragon, however his body language and mannerisms as an actor/screen fighter suggest he probably drew a lot of inspiration from Lee. I like how in this scene he’s pulling his punches and kicks to the point that it looks like he’s trying as hard as he possibly can to NOT hurt anyone. Wouldn’t be surprised if one of the cops was a producer’s son or some shit…
